Map responsibility before credentials

A GDS connection is not only a technical integration. Decide who may search, book, cancel, and manage credentials before the first production transaction.

  • Document the agency account and credential owner.
  • Separate search access from booking and cancellation authority.
  • Define a fallback path for timeouts and provider errors.
  • Log consequential settings and credential changes.

Test the whole booking path

A successful search is not a production-ready workflow. Validate selection, traveler details, payment handoff, booking creation, ticketing status, cancellation, and error recovery in the provider sandbox.

Keep the adapter boundary clear

Route provider calls through one controlled integration layer. This keeps credentials away from the browser, makes provider differences manageable, and gives the agency portal one consistent contract.
